2                                            September, 2002                        The Windsock

As we move into September
the last of the season’s
spraying is being completed  most operators are preparing their equipment for winter storage. 2002 saw many extremes from the excess moisture in the south to the severe drought in the central and northern regions.  Another challenging year for farmers and applicators alike.  Southern operators managed to stay fairly busy well operators in other regions struggled to find work at home and many traveled to help in areas where help was needed.

As the season winds down the directors and 4A’s office are preparing for the fall season of meetings and conferences, our first fall meeting is planned for later in September.  As members, if any of you have concerns that arose from the summer or just concerns in general please bring it to the boards attention and we will do our best to address your concerns over the winter months.

Our annual meeting is in Red Deer in November, a good time to work towards re-certification credits, meet old friends and have your issues addressed face to face.  It is always a very educational few days.  Have a good fall season and hope to see all of you in Red Deer.
